It may be August, but the season-long festival Spring into Armadale has begun in the Perth Hills Armadale region. It showcases the best of the region against a backdrop of the majestic Darling Range and rolling countryside that I grew up in! That's the reason I'm taking such pride in sharing the events on offer with you over coming weeks. Here's a look at 5 things to inspire you to take a short journey outside this weekend. If you do, be sure to let me know, by posting photos to Perthling on Facebook or using #perthhillsarmadale in your photos & posts on Twitter or Instagram. I'd love to share your beautiful experiences & images of the Perth-Hills Armadale with Perth and the rest of the world!
Come to the Park to discover Perth’s biggest display of Tulips and other Springtime bulbs.
Couple of tips from me: This is one of the most popular events on the Spring into Armadale Calendar, so Traffic Management in place on weekends.
Araluen Botanic Park and Canning Dam is only accessible via Croyden Road off Brookton Highway.
Gardiner Road will be closed due to Traffic Management.
From Araluen Botanic Park to Redtail Lane is one-way traffic.
And be sure to bring cash if you'd like to take advantage of the delicious food vendors who turn out and offer their wares during the festival! FOMO (fear of missing out) is a terrific motivator here.
